Last October a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that ICE will be conducting immigration enforcement at this year's super bowl ON OUR HOME TURF.

They had the audacity to say this: “There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people who are in the country illegally, not the Super Bowl not anywhere else…ICE will be everywhere.”

We will ALWAYS provide a safe haven for our immigrant and refugee family ESPECIALLY in Santa Clara County. We will not allow these murderous ICE cowards to harm our community. 

We demand the NFL and their collaboration with Jay-Z / ROC Nation to use their platform to denounce the violence brought by ICE like they said they would with their Inspire Change program. The NFL has not acknowledged the recent murders of Keith Porter, Renee Good, Alex Pretti and much less ICE’s aggressive ramp up during Trump’s second term that has viciously targeted our immigrant communities.

The NFL is enabling the problem just as much as the administration. So far in 2026 alone ICE has killed 9 people and with Santa Clara as their next target, the NFL holds responsibility when hosting an event in our backyard to ensure our community is safe. We ask the owners of San Francisco 49ers, Levis Stadium, sponsors Levi Jeans, Pepsi and Toyota to denounce ICE in our community and set procedures and safety nets for likelihood of harassment, abuse, and violence that is to come in the next few weeks. There should be a moment of silence for all lives that have been lost due to ICE.
