TRACKS MEETING TO DISCUSS NEWBERRIES PROPOSAL

TRACKS - The Radlett Residents Against the Newberries Car Park Scheme Dear TRACKS Member, You may be aware that Hertsmere Bourough Council (HBC) are organizing two Public Consultation Meetings for the proposed development of The Newberries Car Park in Radlett. These meetings will be held on Monday 10th October and Thursday 13th October between 3pm and 8pm on each day. We are interpreting this that HBC are at a point now where they are ready to go to planning approval. They have declared that the proposal includes a Travel Lodge Hotel and Marks and Spencer Simply Food Supermarket. We, as the Committee of TRACKS have tried unsuccessfully to have meetings with representatives from HBC over the last three to four months in order to express our concerns on your behalf over this development and to get it withdrawn. HBC have now offered to meet with us at very short notice in an attempt to include us in the process. We see this as a token gesture. What we need to do is hold a meeting of as many TRACKS members as we can to outline: What we have done. What we know. What we must do next. I know it is short notice but I am inviting you to attend a TRACKS meeting at The Red Lion on Thursday 6th October at 7.30pm when we will address these points and get your input to what we must do at these HBC Public Meetings. I do hope that you will attend.
