Hershall Creachbaum
Hershall Creachbaum
The Issue
We, the undersigned, urge the City of Dayton to approve the creation of a public memorial mural in honor of Hershall Creachbaum, a young boy from our community whose life was tragically taken due to child abuse by his mother’s boyfriend.
Hershall’s heartbreaking death has touched the hearts of many across Dayton and beyond. This mural would serve as a symbol of remembrance, healing, and advocacy—a beautiful and powerful message that this child mattered, and that our community stands together in protecting all children from harm.
Why this mural matters:
• 💛 Healing Space – A place for the community to reflect and grieve.
• 🎗️ Raise Awareness – To help educate the public on child abuse and prevention.
• 🎨 Beautification with Purpose – The mural will be painted by local artists and volunteers at no cost to the city.
We are requesting permission to use a city-owned bridge or wall space for this community-funded project. All design, materials, and labor will be donated or privately sponsored.
Let Hershall’s name be remembered—not just for the tragedy he endured, but for the love, unity, and awareness his story can inspire.
Please sign this petition to support the creation of the Hershall Creachbaum Memorial Mural in Dayton, Ohio.
