As I drive through my town, Herrin, Il, I see dogs chained outside their "family's" home.  It's a sad life for these animals. Alot of the dogs I see do not have proper shelter or food and water supply. We wouldnt drink out of dirty old buckets, why would we let our beloved pets. These dogs, especially one I drive by and see daily, go without attention and affection that they need to thrive. I complain but the regulations are just minimal. Basic shelter, access to food and water (clean or not) is all you need to keep your pet chained. It's a sad and solitary life. Please help get these animals off the end of chain and into the homes of families that will give them the love and companionship they so deserve
