Our community is ready to have a more caring, efficient and trustworthy candidate to be the Superintendent of Hernando County Schools. The current Superintendent of Schools, Dr Lori Romano, does not know how to work with our community, our parents, our students, and our teachers.  She has created an atmosphere where teachers are afraid of speaking out due to her intimidating behavior.  We believe that she has, through her decisions, actions, and leadership style, created an unfavorable work environment which has, and will continue to have, a negative impact on the learning process. There should be a well rounded Board of Education and new Administration that will allow teachers, employees and other staff of the Hernando County Schools, to talk freely about their concerns and ideas, and have those concerns and ideas actually heard. We have a complete lack of confidence in the ability of the Superintendent, Dr Lori Romano, to lead us forward in a positive manner that is beneficial to the students of Hernando County Schools.

We the people of Hernando County, being the parents and community members. Here by request the board members of the Hernando County School Board, accept our petition of registered voters of the County of Hernando for the removal of Dr. Lori Romano from the Hernando County School Board. 

As Hernando County tax payers we feel she has failed her community in the leadership of Superintendent. And ask for her immediate relief of said position.

As Hernando County School Board Members we the people of Hernando have elected the board to ensure our district is represented. To be the the voice of the people of Hernando County.  And to ensure the parents and community have full voice in the operation of our school and children’s education.

We the people are demanding through petition of registered Hernando County voters, the immediate removal of Dr. Lori Romano.
