We, worldwide fans of Amir Hossein Maghsoudloo aka Tataloo with Instagram Account: @tataloo , contacting you directly regarding unfair treatment and discrimination against him. 

Amir did not choose where to be born or what talent to have, however while he was in Iran, the regime made him suffer for making his own music and he has been victim of discrimination most of his life and unfortunately despite the love he has for his country, he decided to leave for his fans so their wishes to have more songs with freedom of speech along with concerts to come true.

As you are aware, he was recently wanted by Iranian Government to be returned to Iran and as a result of that, his concerts in Europe was cancelled. He has been forced to stay in Turkey, when in fact every minute there is a danger that they would steal him and either take him back to Iran or kill him. Until Amir is near the Iranian border his safety is not guaranteed.

As of 24th April 2020, he had over 4.4 million followers on Instagram, However there are groups of hackers that publicly advertise and claim on Instagram that they work for Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and they have got robots that automatically create accounts and attack a page to be closed down. Tataloo admins have constantly written to Instagram along with evidences to inform and prevent this to happen as this is not the first time and to be honest, as fans we are even fed up, yet the admins and Amir Tataloo himself must be feeling angry to have his hard work gone in a day and having to start again. In March 2017, he had up to 4 million followers on Instagram and 1.3 million followers on Facebook, and at the time he was the most popular Iranian artist on social media. His Instagram account was suspended 4 times since he joined Instagram and the most recent occasion was on 25th April 2020 and he had to start over and over several times. He has broken the world records of likes, comments and many more however it seems that Instagram is not publicising about it or establishing those records. Most of unfair behaviour and huge ruckus of Instagram actions are not only damaging his character but it is also defamation of his character and as fans we are very upset and worried about his mental and well-being.

On 10th April 2020, He made another Instagram world record along with Neda Yasee @Nedayasee2 , and broke previous record of 400k that they had and they had 626k real viewers on their live mutual Instagram chat. This was only 10 days after the last world record of 310k by Tory Lanez and Drake which happened on 31st March 2020.

Despite the amount of us, fans and admins, that have wrote to each individual important decision makers of Instagram, Mossari, Vishalshahis and others, up to now, there has been no press release or announcement regarding this new world record.

Instagram have constantly spoken and informed about strict policy about Racism, xenophobia and discrimination which are problems prevalent in all societies. But Amir have been a victim of it every day, and unfortunately we witness people publicly advertise hacking accounts and closing accounts which are against Instagram T&C.

May we remind you that international law clearly states The principles of equality and non-discrimination are part of the foundations of the rule of law. As Member States noted in the Declaration of the High-Level Meeting on the Rule of Law, “all persons, institutions and entities, public and private, including the State itself, are accountable to just, fair and equitable laws and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law”(para. 2). They also dedicated themselves to respect the equal rights of all without distinction as to race, sex, language or religion (para. 3).

As fans, we would like to know the following:

1) RESIDENCY STATUS: Why is Amir not allowed to leave Turkey and have to go to police station every 2 weeks when human rights reports are aware of how basic human rights are neglected in Iran. Why despite the letters we have sent to Human Rights and Amnesty International and other relevant organisation to support Amir and secure his safety, no one has come forward. He is not a criminal and his crime is his music such as Shahin Najafi and Salman Roshti.

2) SOCIAL MEDIA: Why Instagram, does not secure his account the same way they have done for Masih Alinejad @Masih.alinejad as both are opposing against cruelty of the regime in Iran, one as journalist and one through his songs, and of course the government would try everything to stop awareness.

Amir Tataloo is an Iranian singer, songwriter and influencer who currently reside in Turkey. He has so many strong fans among the youth of Iran. His style has been described as "popular flashy blend of pop, rap and R&B". He holds the title of the most active Iranian singer. He can write, sing and publish a song every two days and He hold the most publish songs within Iranian community which is each of them has been a hit. As fans we have always respected Instagram terms and conditions and expect Instagram to support influencers such as Amir Tataloo personally.
