After 18 years of serving Rhode Island most disenfranchised young people, YouthBuild Providence strongly believes it is time to elevated and expand its' services.

YouthBuild Providence is proposing to open the YouthBuild
Preparatory Academy in partnership with the Providence and Central Falls School Districts. This is not a Charter school, YB Prep will be a cooperative service program provided under RI education law. In order to accomplish this goal, YouthBuild has decide to pursue a legislative approach that will enable the program to become a diploma granting entity in collaboration with said districts.

The mission of YouthBuild Preparatory Academy is to prepare young people ages 14-21 for posts-econdary education, career and leadership in a global society.  This school - while open to all - will have a focus on boys and young men of color.
