Thank you to everyone who has signed this petition so far. 

Currently Essex Highways are saying that  Potter Street speed reduction measures has been downgraded and so there are no plans to put any speed restriction measures on Potter Street. This is made worse by the fact there is only one more Essex Highways meeting scheduled for January 27th at 7pm. After this the panel will be wound down and is due to end in 2027 as all the councils are re-organised. The only councillor who has engaged with me on this issue is Nicky Purse with none of the other Harlow councillors even replying to emails. 

So a very poor state of affairs with nothing being done to slow traffic down. I was promised a portable VAS sign that would be installed on Potter Street as a temporary measure but as yet nothing has appeared. 

It seems we must fund our own speed signs and any speed reduction measures despite paying council tax. 

I have a meeting booked with Chris Vince MP to discuss what I am paying council tax for.
