The Issue

The KMT developer is suing our city because the city council denied its application on October 28, 2025, 4-2, to rezone 188 acres, originally zoned for neighborhood development. The property of denied rezoning is in District 7 at 555 Spence Road and 0 Old Senoia: it borders the City of South Fulton and Fairburn. Our city council's response is to settle the lawsuit by rezoning the area through an ordinance. If approved by the city council, this ordinance will give KMT more warehouse space (1.8 million square feet) than the previously denied (1.54 million square feet), which will impact even more of the property and put warehouse buildings even closer to existing homes.

While KMT is suing our city, it has requested a 10-year tax abatement for the warehouses it's currently building on Roosevelt. This 10-year abatement will directly affect our school system's funds. Our city does not benefit from more warehouses! Our city council should be fighting for US!! This case is easily winnable. We don't need more empty warehouses, more pollution, or development that doesn't promote public health, safety, and the welfare of our communities.

Is our city council a partner of its constituents or a pawn of developers?

Residents of COSF and affected cities in South Fulton, please attend the March 24, 2026, 6 PM Zoning and 7 PM regular meetings to witness our city council's vote on this rezoning.

Join us in demanding that the City of South Fulton's council vote NO on the ordinance to rezone for KMT to put warehouses where homes should be. We deserve better, we demand better for the City of South Fulton. If you are with us, please sign the petition and attend the meeting.
