School District 91 in Northern BC has canceled Mother's and Father's Day!  

An email from the principal at W.L. McLeod, dated April 19,2022 states -  "We will not acknowledge traditional Mother’s and Father’s Days at McLeod. Please do not do so in your class."  Questioned by parents, SD 91 has doubled down and stated that this is not just for one school, but the new direction for all the schools in Vanderhoof, Fort St. James, Fraser Lake, Burns Lake, and all points in between.

No more macaroni necklaces, clay handprints, or stick figure drawings for mothers to put on their fridge.  No more kindergarten children running home to show mom what they made for her.  No more teenagers writing poems to thank their dads for putting up with them and hiding it in his sock drawer to find. 

School District 91 needs to hear loud and clear that we want Mother's Day and Father's Day back!  Speak up and let them know they can't cancel moms and dads!
