Help us save country dogs. Keep Country Companion Animal Rescue open!

The issue

Seven years ago, passionate dog-lover Julie-ann started dog rescue to care for and rehome country pups and dogs that are abandoned or unwanted. Over the years, she has saved hundreds of animals and given them a second chance at life. Now, the council wants to shut down her rescue that has been saving forgotten dogs across our region.

Julie-ann says that rescuing dogs is her purpose in life. When she's faced with 4-5 dogs in a pound that she knows will be euthanized, it's a no-brainer for her to take them with her. This has meant that she has exceeded her DA approval number of pets on her property. But this shouldn't mean an end for her rescue.

I'm a volunteer at Country Companion Animal Rescue and I see the love and devotion with which the lovely Julie-ann runs the rescue. It is a shame that an anonymous complaint threatens to destroy the wonderful work that she does.

Please sign and share this petition to support Julie-ann and our country dogs, and urge the council to keep the rescue open.
