Friends,

What an incredible two days. The energy at Thursday's protest and Friday's walkout was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we stand together. Thank you to every parent and teacher who made their voice heard.

It’s clear our message was received, because the district has officially moved Monday's town hall.

This isn't the first time our unity has forced a change; we saw it when we advocated for Principal Garmon to be considered two years ago, and we saw it when we fought for our third kinder class. History shows that when we come together, we win.

Our movement is growing. This petition is about to cross the 1,000-signature mark, and the press is taking notice.

Let's keep this momentum going. Since LAUSD moved their town hall, we're moving our protest. We will gather again for a peaceful protest this Monday, June 9th, at 5:00 PM at Daniel Webster Middle School. We'll be there to greet them an hour before the town hall begins at 6:00 PM. Let's stand united as parents and teachers and continue to show up for our community and for what is right.
