I need your HELP! Some of the members of city council, complainers, haters of the city, along with Paynesville police qualify my yard as the top most complained about “junk yard” in this town. They now are threatening us with ((state court)) and a misdemeanor fine of $100 per letter issued by the city council & police has now been delivered! We were once told by police $100 per day if fined!!! We just made two haunts for the community happen! One being in our home. Our motive is to create excitement, happiness, joy, & fun! We don’t want hatred to win! We do the BIGGEST Christmas display in this town and were awarded the “Griswold House” by the Paynesville Chamber of Commerce. I need the voices of Paynesville and outside of Paynesville that love what we do to speak up and out on our behalf, and call city hall and chief Wagner and express your love for our yard and displays we show you every year on the corner of Spruce & Stearns. Write letters to the paper expressing your positive feelings about the joy our corner brings to you and your family!

What we do requires a ton of work and our heart and soul goes into every ounce of it! The kids love it and look forward to deciding which faces get to sit in the cars in our yard. One is my grandpa’s 1936 coupe race car he used to race the dirt tracks of Paynesville! It’s history it’s an heirloom! It’s very valuable as it is mostly complete! It doesn’t have a motor as he blew it out racing. The way it sits, is how he left it over 50+ years ago! It’s considered pioneer and I can’t locate it’s VIN to register it as pioneer or collector. Police tell me no motor means junk! I’m at a lose lose but totally know the value it has in my heart and my kiddos hearts as it sits under our GIANT maple tree! It belongs under our tree making many happy in remembering “Gentlemen Jim”! The kids love knowing a piece of their great grandpa sits down in our yard under our tree! We decorate it for every holiday! Decorating it keeps the spirit alive!
A few hateful people hate the Hartmann name and complain nonstop. Including the night of our haunt, tried to shut us down even though we were told by police we weren’t breaking any laws.

Next is Christmas!!! We currently would be transitioning now into our GIANT light and Christmas display, we light up our entire corner with Christmas cheer! Some of the city, council members, & police are in the midst of carrying out the political threats on our family and display, and leave me no choice but to make this public! I currently need help!!! I receive hate letters anonymously and 5 false Facebook accounts harassing me and my family saying they drive by our house and watch my videos….and “pigs live like me and sluts dress like me.” it’s pretty scary to say the least there is that much hatred in the environment of this tiny town called Paynesville. Who are these people!?!? They remain creepy and anonymous. 
Some helpful things for right now….if anyone has a see through enclosure I can put around my grandpa’s car and still see it and the lights it would be helpful and get us by while we fight this fight.  Also anyone willing to sign a petition keeping our yard alive and in favor of our displays please step up! I need the help of the good  in this town to keep us from going dark. The police allow this to take place and fine me, calling my yard “junk” all in the name of hatred and people, we will go dark for Christmas and we won’t be able to share with you the Christmas joy that we strive for every year as my spirit will be lost. The 8 ball car is where it all began and where the heart of our yard and decor stems from. It’s art, it’s valuable, it’s a family heirloom. Also if anyone can help donate any funds to help us fight fines coming our way starting tomorrow November 6th, 2022. Anything is helpful as we fight this fight.

The false Facebook accounts and hate mail need to be addressed and hold accountability the same way anonymous complaining seems to! The cops don’t care about the stress and scary sickness this all causes my heart. Bullying outweighs good. ☹️

The sickness in all of this is this is a crappy way to get the car given to the historical museum, all parties threatening, tell us to donate it to the museum. They won’t let me have it in our yard, hurting NO ONE!!!…..but the museum will take it free of charge!!! Nothing against the museum but how shady is this!?! We have young generations left including myself still someday having dreams of a rat rod! This is a cruel way to force a person into something in favor of a certain motive! The topic and outcome for myself and my family is to change city ordinances and revise them in ways allowing for a person displaying art and decor in ways they see fit! My way of decorating may not be your way, but in the end, it’s me and I’m not harming you! If you feel harm or offended by me, take a different road. I call this movement and topic CHANGE EQUALS CHEER!!!! If we make change. The ones who see the good and no harm in my grandpa’s car can continue to have cheer. I am sad the city chose these ways to carry out this disgusting hate. It hurts my heart and I think that was the final reason behind the motive in all the this. We need CHANGE to have CHEER in this town! Who is with me!?!? PLEASE SIGN!!!!
