After decades of effort by his passionate fanbase, Zevon will finally be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the ceremony at the Peacock Theater on November 8. And the theme of the 2025 Wild Honey benefit concert at the United Theater on October 24 is "Meet Me in L.A.: The Songs of Warren Zevon."

With these high profile events happening in Downtown L.A. in the coming weeks, it seems the perfect time to honor the artist with a City sponsored Warren Zevon Square designation. And after long consideration, we believe there is no better location than the corner of Yucca and Grace, site of the Hollywood Hawaiian Hotel (now known as the Princess Grace Apartments), where Zevon sometimes lived in the early 1970s, and which he immortalized in one of his finest songs, "Desperados Under the Eaves."

We are requesting the community and Warren Zevon fans to sign a petition so that councilmember Soto-Martinez will move to recognize Warren Zevon with civic designation, and to do so soon, so that fans who travel to Los Angeles to attend the upcoming events will have the opportunity to visit the Square, or even attend the unveiling.
