HELP US GET THE PERMIT REVOKED AND STOP PAT KIRCHNER FROM PUTTING UP A STORAGE BUILDING

The Issue

The Area Plan Commission has issued an illegal building permit to Pat Kirchner(a city council member) that is constructing a storage building in our beautiful neighborhood (subdivision)on a residential lot. We say illegal because as code says no building can be built on a residential lot without a house already being present. No house is in the plans to be built. Please read the codes below for a better understanding.

We urge individuals to join us in voicing this concern regarding the Area plan commission issuing illegal permits based on who a person is or who they know in Jennings County. The AP needs to follow the codes for all residents. Please, sign this petition today and help us prevent this storage building construction from moving forward.  The following codes are in violation.  Thank you for your support. You must get an improvement Location Permit before building a pole barn, shed, garage ( Zoning Ordinance Sec II.J.1.a) You can't build an accessory building unless there's already a house (principal use) on the lot. No house = No legal (Sec IV.C) (Accessory Building Use) Build it first without the house? That's a zoning violation and can get you fined daily. (Sec II.S) All Building-including accessories - must meet setback and zoning rules. You can't slap it on the lot line and call it good. (Sec VI.C & Site Plan Review) Section II.S states "Any person... who violates any provision of this Ordinance shall be liable for a fine,,, Each day … shall constitute a separate offense." " Any structure erected... in violation... is hereby declared a common nuisance"
