Justice for Mary Boyle
The Issue
We, the people of Ireland, hereby request that a full investigation into the cover up and corruption surrounding the disappearance (and suspected murder) or Mary Boyle in 1977.
Mary Boyle was six when she disappeared from her grandparents’ home outside Ballyshannon in Co Donegal, on March 18th, 1977. Hers is Ireland’s longest-running missing-child case, and she has been described as “Ireland’s Madeleine McCann”.
Her twin, Ann Doherty, who has travelled to Stormont, Westminster, Brussels and Washington DC in her campaign, has been accompanied over the past two years by journalist Gemma O’Doherty. However, to date the Irish Government and President of Ireland Michael D Higgins, have refused to give any attention to this case which only demonstrates they wish for this problem to go away.
There has been strong evidence provided over the years to support who may have harmed Mary, yet this continues to be ignored.
The people of Ireland hereby request that the Irish Government take steps to support the stagnant investigation into this murder and to prosecute the main suspect in this case.
Mary can no longer speak for herself so we speak on her behalf.
