We are T.F.N.L (Take Flight No Landing) we believe in following your dreams and taking our people with us. We are creating this petition in hopes that we can acquire enough signatures for the city to buy the lot on 52nd and Market and turn it into a land trust, with the intent to turn it into a community garden. 

If you live in or around the neighborhood, then you know the lot at 5134 Market street inbetween the 24hr store and Hollywood Cuts has sat empty for over 3 years now. January of this year the T.F.N.L. Team led by Asim Jones decided to start working on the lot with hopes of turning something that has become a dumping ground, into a Community Garden and Oasis for our community. The intention for doing this is to create a community space where people can both commune and share resources with each other. 

The Philadelphia Community has been discussing ways to reduce crime in Philadelphia at large. The response time and time again has been to involve more police, when we know the root cause of crime is a lack of access to resources. T.F.N.L. are proud mentees of community hero and icon Arnett Woodall who by himself has held a 46% crime deduction rate for over ten years with his Fresh Fruits and Produce market on 56th and Market. Transforming a block that was previously referred to as old Kensington into a community hub. We hope to accomplish the same goals while giving our community the support we so desperately need and deserve.
