We want our Principal Back!
The Issue
We want our Principal back! When Principal Sadaka started in September, she outlined her goals and vision and worked with staff to gain their alignment to help her achieve a vision she had for Sir Wilfrid Laurier Public School. She examined the technological needs of the school and made assessments on investments we needed to bring our school up to date with modern advances that would facilitate advanced teaching and learning. Prior to Principal Sadaka's arrvial, there was no FORMAL student council. Immediately after her arrival, a student council was formed and class reps were encouraged to participate in community spirit events within the school such as school lunch distribution and lunch monitoring duties with lower grade classes, etc. Student council ran charitable events to give back to the community. There was greater communication and transparency between the Administration and the parent community via monthly Newsletters, Character recognition assemblies to promote morals and values and achievements and greater awareness of climate issues via eco-drive initiatives that are completely run and managed by students! We miss Principal Sadaka and we want her back!
