Help Us Bring Live Music Back to Kilowatt!!

The Issue

Kilowatt has been a staple of the San Francisco bar and music scene for nearly 30 years. This historic building was built in 1900 and served as the firehouse that saved the Mission in 1906. Located at 3160 16th Street, on the busy corridor of 16th and Valencia Street in the heart of the Mission district, Kilowatt provides character and style to the neighborhood with its distinctive neon sign and historic architecture.

From 1994-1998, Kilowatt served as a live music venue for the burgeoning indie/punk scene of mid-nineties San Francisco, hosting local and touring bands, as well as a stage for the first four Noise Pop festivals.

We want to bring live music back to this legendary stage. Independent music venues took a major hit during the pandemic. Without these small humble stages - we lose the soul that made San Francisco an iconic city.

Please support your humble new neighbors at Kilowatt and the mission to keep San Francisco iconic! We can’t do this without you.
