This week Congress will vote on Lend-Lease Act of 2022. This legislation has nothing to do with leasing land. This program is similar to WW2 Lend Lease program that allowed US to help allies such as Great Britain and USSR to lease military equipment on favorable terms and was essential for allies victory in WW2. Current Legislation will allow Ukraine to lease military equipment to continue its fight to preserve democracy and defeat Putin. US and other countries have helped Ukraine with weapons, however different type of weapons and equipment is needed to advance and regain occupied territory. If signed into legislation, the act would allow the United States to lease military equipment to Ukraine to defend their land and their freedom. The House of Representatives is expected to vote upon this legislature this week.

We urge you to support the Ukraine Democracy Defense Lend-Lease Act of 2022. Similarly to the Lend-Lease Act of WW II, current legislation would have a great impact on Ukraine’s capacity to defend their independence and continue to shield the world from Russian aggression.
