Some students rely on phones for essential educational functions and family communication. The ban affects all students equally, regardless of their individual needs. It does not allow for exceptions or adjustments for students who may need their phones for specific reasons, such as health concerns or personal circumstances.

The punishments are unfair and the restrictions are just baffling. Students aren't even allowed to simply have their phones in their pockets. They're now enforcing them to stay in their Lockers. As far as the punishments go, if your phone is out, detention. No warning. Just detention. Second time is Saturday Day School. Third time is ISS and so on and so forth.

Alot of people assume kids/teens use phones for social media purposes, but they have other uses too. Phones are used in schools to scan QR codes for club activities, special events, or fillout forms. To take photos of notes, and slideshows. They're even used as hot spots since most school wifi isn't that great. Most schoolwork is also done faster on phone then compared to the school provided computers.

The time is now. As the school year of 2024/2025 us about to begin and these changes will be carried out. Every signature matters in the fight to change this.
