Hello, everyone.
Over the course of the last several weeks, the petition had been lagging with respect to the number of signatures that it had been receiving; sometimes only a handful per day. That has suddenly changed thanks to renowned Christian apologist/minister, Mike Winger, whose promotion of this endeavour, on Facebook and Twitter, has resulted in over 1k signatures (and growing rapidly) in the two hours since his posts were made, thereby pushing the total number well past 10k. Thank you, Mike, and everyone else for your support.

On a side note: for those who haven’t already seen it, William Lane Craig was recently on an episode of actor/comedian, Brian Callen’s, YouTube podcast; consider subscribing to his channel, if you haven’t. I’ve been exchanging emails with Bryan, as of late, and suggesting various apologists (including Mike Winger) and scholars for him to consider as prospective guests on future episodes.
Here is how Bryan responded to me: “Steven, thank you so much for this incredible effort. I’ll start reading what you’ve sent and I look forward to speaking to these scholars. I really want to learn more about the New Testament and Christianity in general. I seem to feel a calling in this direction which is quite the surprise indeed. Thanks again and stay in touch.”
Bryan seems to be on a quest for the truth. Please pray that God will reveal the truth of the Gospel to him and that He will use Bryan’s platform to reach those who are open to that message.
Lastly, Bryan is close friends with Joe Rogan and he has appeared on his podcast, numerous times. I asked Bryan if he could speak with Joe and try to persuade him to invite Dr. Craig onto The Joe Rogan Experience. Joe might not care about a petition — that’s not to say that we shouldn’t try this as a strategy — but an urging from a close and respected friend, supplemented by this venture, might cause him to oblige. Please pray that God will provide a way for this to come to fruition.
Additionally, I asked Bryan if he could consider mentioning the petition the next time Dr. Craig is on his podcast (which is supposed to happen soon). I know that Dr. Craig has expressed interest in speaking with Joe Rogan, in the past (see the previous update for evidence) therefore, if Bryan were to mention it to him, in his presence, we’d get a clear answer as to how he feels about this idea.
