Many of you are aware of the running joke that original Van Halen lead singer, David Lee Roth, looks virtually identical to William Lane Craig.  On that note, Roth appeared on Joe Rogan's podcast in 2019, which resulted in a man by the name of Stevenson Brad posing this comment to Dr. Craig, in a Facebook exchange:

(Referring to two screenshots of Roth on Rogan's show) "Dr. Craig.  At first glance I thought you shaved your head and went on Joe Rogan’s podcast.  Sadly, it wasn’t you!  Would you ever appear on his podcast?  I would love to see you on such a loose forum.  FYI, the man in the photo is David Lee Roth, he is an EMT these days!"

Dr. Craig replied, "Oh, he's lost his hair!  We used to look even more alike.  I'd love to be on Joe Rogan, but can't get an invitation."

Dr. Craig's sentiments in the aforementioned comment echo that of a brief conversation that I also had with him on Facebook, around that time, regarding the prospect of appearing on Rogan's podcast.  Dr. Craig expressed interest, and even mentioned that his personnel had tried to set up appearances with various mainstream entities, in the past, but those efforts were ultimately in vain.  He stressed the imperative of needing to be offered an invitation to speak with such and such, and that he couldn't just go on these sorts of platforms uninvited; hence the rationale behind this petition.

With that said, Dr. Craig has seen said petition, however, he has not publicly commented on it.  Though the above anecdotes that I shared are several years old, I can discern no reason why his attitude regarding an appearance on Rogan would have changed, in the ensuing time.  I hope that this elucidates all mystery with respect to Dr. Craig's feelings about speaking with Joe.  Perhaps this knowledge can serve to encourage those reading this to promote this venture with even greater enthusiasm.

In addition to this information, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to this campaign.  In just two weeks, you have helped to amass 9,093 signatures and 4,330 shares, at the time of this post (with 105,351 views).  Let's push for 10,000 signatures, and keep going!

Please continue to share this petition with anyone that you can think of ― including those with large online ministries ― that would like to see such a dialogue take place.  Share it on every social media site.

To those with a large online presence, please consider tweeting this petition so that your respective audiences are exposed to it, in addition to sharing it on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.  The mere posting of this on your socials, without even necessarily offering a written or verbal endorsement, would spread its reach even further, thereby increasing the likelihood of this endeavour coming to fruition.

God bless.
