Thousands of 70’s to 100s are still waiting for  the Covid 19 vaccine housebound and disabled or they are bedbound. I am trying to get help for an 89 year old family member in this position and hearing nothing despite chasing we cannot get a home visit. 

The risk is huge, carers  come in from care homes, medical environments and the outside world where Covid is rife. Family members are out shopping and doing work in the outside world. They are at risk as you maybe more so but isolated and often with severe physical issues. 

The Guardian has reported that Cera the largest home care provider with 10,000 housebound elderly have only seen 1% of their housebound elderly vaccinated.

Hugh Pym of the BBC raised the issue last night with Matt Hancock and large numbers on line are pleading for it to be sorted with distressed families and old people across the UK.

The focus is on big sites and big numbers and the most vulnerable of the vulnerable often cannot get home visits quickly or at all and are more and more at risk.

Please ask the government, Matt Hancock ,Nadhim Zahawi and Boris Johnson to put more resources and organisation in locally to NHS, GPs and Councils to do this and give publicity to do this and not announce on 15 Feb that over 80’s are vaccinated until the housebound are done by 15 February
