The Issue

The library is an integral part of any community, offering free services for all people to enjoy regardless of income. In addition to community members, local parents who homeschool their children rely on the library for resources and a place to go to work on their homeschool curriculum. Furthermore, the local YMCA and Holy Trinity school use the library for school programming. Local adults rely on the library for access to information, technology, and programs that empower and educate. The decline of council support for the Morrisville Library threatens not only our learning opportunities but also the community’s access to a multitude of essential resources.

Unfortunately, the Morrisville Library is now at risk of reduced funding and potential reduction of operating hours. This decision would leave a significant void in our community, one that cannot be easily filled. The local government must consider the far-reaching impact that closing this library will have on Morrisville's residents. We urge our council members and decision-makers to re-evaluate their priorities and identify solutions to preserve the Morrisville Library.

We, the residents, believe that a well-supported library system is a cornerstone of an educated society, and we are committed to finding solutions to keep the Morrisville Library open and thriving. Let’s work together to ensure that Morrisville continues to benefit from this indispensable resource for generations to come.

Please join us in this fight to save our library. Sign this petition to make your voice heard and help us preserve this vital part of our community.
