Me and my family were on a vacation to a beautiful island called Saipan, where sandy beaches are everywhere and the jungle is lush and wild. To, humans, its paradise. But for the feline and canine community, living there can be insanely hard. Temperatures stay in the 70s, 80s and 90s everyday. Strays line the streets, skinny and hot. Many hide under cars for shade, and you will frequently see litters of cats under one. As for many dogs that are homed, they are chained up outside in the heat as 'Guard Dogs'. There is one very hardworking stray animal support project, the Boonie Babies. They work hard to spay and neuter strays, but lack vets and supplies. The Boonie Babies project is currently unable to get dogs off the group of islands including Saipan, to get adopted.
