At Layla & Ringo’s, we intentionally created a café and market that celebrates the connection between people and their pets. The experience was designed with community in mind, offering a comfortable environment for Chicagoans and their beloved companions.

Unfortunately, current city regulations prohibit dogs from being inside restaurants and eateries with the exception of service animals. We therefore respectfully urge the City of Chicago to introduce a licensing system for establishments that wish to permit dogs indoors, thus conforming to the policies of many leading cities across the U.S. and abroad.  We urgently want to make Chicago a city that embraces community, innovation, and the companionship that defines so much of urban life today, while strengthening local economies and enhancing quality of life for residents.
