According to an article in today's NCJ, "... the county has now confirmed 1,229 cases so far this month, as well as 60 hospitalizations and six deaths. After recording a test-positivity rate of 10.1 percent in July — the highest for any month since the pandemic began (Note: bold texted by me, not the NCJ) — the rate in Humboldt County jumped to 14.8 percent in August, far outpacing state (5.8 percent) and national (11.6 percent) rates."
