Stray animals can be seen everywhere, and they are all equally helpless.

According to Philippine Animal Welfare and Society (PAWS) which was cited by Vila (2020), there were 12 million stray cats and dogs that roamed around the city in 2019. And each year, these animals die due to several reasons, but the most common one was hunger.

We would like to help stray cats and dogs in Pasig because:

• They sometimes end up getting beaten by either non-animal friendly houses or food stalls for attempting to steal food.
• With no constant source of food and water, they would have no choice but to eat from trash bins and drink from sewers, puddles, or in extreme cases, even their own urine.
• In these trying times, they struggle even more as most food stalls are forced to close due to the pandemic, losing another possible means of survival.

In another country, a Turkish Company called, “Pugedon” innovated a vending machine where people offer their plastic bottles in exchange for the stray dogs' food and water. This innovation will be a big help to stray cats and dogs, however, the process would most likely take time, but this issue needs to be resolved now!

So for the time being, we can create “self-filling food and water dishes” for stray cats and dogs. This innovation is simpler, easier, and does not require a hefty amount of time.

This petition that will start in Pasig won't only help stray animals in the said city, but also those from different cities as they may gain inspiration to do the same thing, which would cause for this practice to spread across various corners of the country, or maybe even the whole world
