Here are the facts:

Breed discrimination is rampant in this facility. Pitbulls, Huskies, German Shephards, Rotweillers, and most large breed dogs do not make it out alive. Newborn puppies removed and their mothers are killed.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            All injured animals are dead within a day. Any dog that resembles a pitbull, dead within a day!  No rescue plea or foster program. No training for new pet owners. Many dogs are returned due to lack of experience with shelter animals. Once returned, DEAD within 24 hours                                                                    Neither the Chancellors of this county or the leadership at this shelter care to get these animals out alive. Volunteers are begging for help and being labeled extreme activist by the people who should be helping them. Countless posts on Facebook (urgent dogs & cats of Lee County Florida) begging for the publics help.

We cannot stand by while the Lee County Animal Shelter continues to operate under these unacceptable conditions. It is imperative that the shelter implements humane practices to ensure the welfare and survival of these animals. Join me in urging the Lee County officials to take immediate action.
