We must stop the removal of the healthy and beautiful Camphor tree from at 1147 Willow Glen Way, San Jose!  To date no written or verbal explanation of how or why the removal decision was reached.  Many in the neighborhood and community are requesting a resolution that does not require the removal of this healthy and beautiful  tree.  An an evaluation and suggested solutions have been prepared by a licensed Arborist.

We understand Camphor trees may cause pavement damage. Of significant importance, however, is the living infrastructure they provide through their expansive canopy offering shade, cooling and ecological benefits to the area. We believe this tree is a vital component of a healthy urban landscape and adds to the uniqueness of the Willow Glen area.

We look forward to working with the City to find a solution to the paving issues that do not require taking down this majestic, healthy tree.
