Help stop The Home Depot from trapping and disposing of neighborhood cats

Help stop The Home Depot from trapping and disposing of neighborhood cats
The Issue
I, your fellow denizen, was appalled to discover a harrowing reality at my local Home Depot here in Palm Springs CA- the manager of the store has been trapping cats and unethically disposing of them, leaving newborn kittens defenseless and starving to death. These actions are grotesque and utterly devoid of humanity.
At a time when the plight of stray animals, especially cats, is mounting, and communities are embracing trap-neuter-release practices (according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), the store manager's actions are a grim contrast. The Humane Society says that community cats should be spayed/neutered and vaccinated, not euthanized.
Let us not forget that cats also have the ability to control vermin in our urban areas — a fact acknowledged by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The manager's cruel actions are, therefore, not just a gross violation of animal rights, but also an unnecessary disruption of a natural process.
We implore The Home Depot to take immediate action against such practices, ensuring strict guidelines for ethical treatment of stray animals found within their premises. Together, we have the power to protect these vulnerable creatures from harm.
Please help take action and sign this petition and share with everyone to stop this practice by The Home Depot
Please join me — sign this petition to stand up against such inhumane acts and demand justice for these innocent lives.
