PLEASE HELP SAVING FAUNA AND FLORA OF SRI LANKA FROM OPPORTUNISTIC POLITICIANS! 

A massive carnival in the heart of Habarana forest reserve is being implemented in Sri Lanka. The facade is to attract foreigners - but brings massive and irrevocable damage to the reserved forests! 

WHY IS THIS WRONG?? 
Is plastic bottles the only problem❓ NO! 
A massive carnival in the heart of the thick jungle on 3 consecutive days! 

Preparation and erection of the site would take weeks of rape of the forest reservations. 
Building a 50x90 feet illuminated stage. Many trees will be fallen for this- normally the best trees will be chosen to cut down as was done in the past. 

Obtained approval for fire and fireworks too!! 
Elephants are naturally scared of fire and noise.

This area is high in elephant density and is much close to the Karadagaswewa elephant corridor. When threatened, that they cant take their usual route they would deviate and walk through villages risking both elephant and human lives, which will eventually give approval for massive killings of elephants! 

There are many bird species, monkeys etc. Baby birds die of loud noise. Animals fear and become disoriented due to noise and fire at night whose deaths would never be accounted for. 

This is a programme suitable for a city - not a wildlife forest!!!!
