Environmental exploitation and desecration of indigenous sacred lands continues today in the USA without legal consequences, and media coverage of the horrors of excessive logging is limited.  The City of Oneonta, NY located in Otsego County, NY is currently logging 400 acres near Wilbur Lake.  This is making homeless many wildlife in the area that depend on trees for living and sustenance.  Government officials need to be held accountable for homeless populations of people and wildlife.  Otsego County, NY is one of the few counties with no old growth forests left.  The City of Oneonta, NY is supposedly getting paid a measly $180,000 to log the 400 acres.  Help elect politicians that care about the environment and people, and create laws to protect the wilderness from massacres.  Trees help provide filtration of air, ground water, and soil--trees are already suffering from lack of wildlife that would help fertilize the soil--the decimation of deer, birds and other critters.
