For over a decade, Redcliffe Musical Theatre (RMT) occupied Theatre 102, Redcliffe — a site since marked for resumption by the Queensland Government. RMT no longer occupies the premises.

RMT was incorporated in 2010 and has staged more than 80 productions. Since 2021, RMT has spent over $500,000 at the Redcliffe Entertainment Centre.

Some other performing arts organisations in the Moreton Bay region operate from council-supported venues under community tenure arrangements. Council's Community Leasing Policy provides for such arrangements with eligible community organisations. RMT, as an incorporated association, meets the relevant legal-structure requirement.

This petition asks the Moreton Bay Regional Council to provide RMT with a permanent, council-supported venue.
