While visiting in San Pedro, Belize we drove by this poor girl!  She is on a short chain attached to a dog house in a pile of garbage on an empty lot.  She couldn’t reach her dog bowls (which had no water or food and were turned upside down and empty). Her chain to move is very short but worse the chain was caught on the dog house and she was trying to lay down. We unhooked her chain and fed her for three weeks. 
it is extremely hot and being chained 24/7 is cruel for this poor dog. We were told she’s used as a breeding dog only. He nipples are engorged but no puppies around. We were told she’s had 4 litters by the neighbours. 
I met with the owner and I offered to buy her or help with a solution but the owner just screamed at me!  
Saga Humane Society does an amazing job with animals!  They cannot intervene due to the laws protecting the abusers and not this poor dog!  It’s animal cruelty. Due to laws protecting these back yard breeders, this dog is unable to be saved without your intervention.  It takes time for Saga and it can end up in court.

Other tourists visiting have been bringing this poor soul water and begging for help.

It's too hot for a dog to be used and abused like this.

It's not enough to just to remove this animal. The people can not own another dog. She is on her 4th litter and chained 24/7. 

This is unacceptable and I believe many across the world will agree.

It would be amazing if you could intervene to support the efforts of rescues and humane societies to save this dog and prevent the abusers from owning a dog.
