Friends of Blair, we need you again.
Cambridge City Council has scheduled a “special council meeting” on March 15th. This will include the Heritage Impact Assessment and Transportation Study for the Broccolini (Amazon) development in Blair, originally scheduled for June, now moved up to March 15th, 2022.
The agenda is 861 pages and was sent out Thursday, March 10th, only days before the meeting.
- The MHAC (Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee) voted 6-2 AGAINST this proposal
- Zero consultation
- The traffic study was completed during a pandemic
- MZO's are a dangerous tool to fast-track developments and should only be used in emergency situations
Why should you care?
- It will impact commuters who use Dickie Settlement Rd, Blair Rd and Fountain Street
- It will have an environmental impact on the Grand River watershed as well as shorten the life of our Municipal waste facilities
- It will be an eyesore entry point into the City of Cambridge
