Dear Friends,
Here is one picture from our recent event at 3100 Weston Road, Toronto for you to ponder and reflect on, capturing the spirit of our community and the joyous moments we shared. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us last Saturday, May 11, for a peaceful candlelight Rosary vigil, a special observance of Mother's Day (yesterday), and the feast day of Our Lady of Fatima (today)!
We were there once again for each other and for our Lady, the Virgin Mary! It was a spectacular sight to behold, most of you holding roses in your hands while you took the time to show up amidst the whirlwind of commitments you have. Thank you for taking the time and effort to join the many who braved the gentle rain. As usual, our Lady never disappoints because so many people came and offered prayers while the procession continued. Our wonderful officers on duty also provided invaluable service. Their efforts are much appreciated, and we keep them in our prayers and for their safety.
As Father Cembalista said in the audio played last Saturday, 'The shrine is our place; this belongs to the people.' Our Lady manifested her intercession by healing his eye when a tree branch struck it as he fetched firewood in 2005. This event marked the beginning of a series of miraculous healings at 3100 Weston Road, making it a place of extraordinary spiritual significance. Its spirit of love, joy, and peace continues to bear witness to the works of the Holy Spirit.
With the feast of Pentecost, a momentous occasion in our spiritual calendar, just around the corner on Sunday, May 19, we are filled with anticipation and excitement. We eagerly await the sharing of Fr. Basil Cembalista's reflections, a poignant reminder of the healing power of our faith. Faith, hope, and love, the three theological virtues that are the cornerstone of our community, will be celebrated and renewed. For those who were present last Saturday, Fr. Basil Cembalista's voice resonated as if he were speaking to us again, clear and gentle, inspiring us all.
May you all have a blessed week, and thank you many times!
