Today is the anniversary of Fr. Basil Cembalista's end of earthly life. He was the first among the many who received healing. This manifestation from heaven prompted him to build an altar to our Lady. Being gifted with literary skills, he was a writer and advocate of our Lady, whom he loved so much that he became an instrument in leading people to God. Indeed a remarkable priest in every sense of the word. He lived his vocation and embraced it until the end of his earthly life. He lived out the beatitudes- "Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted," as the Bible indicates. He exemplified it through words and action; just like our Lady who visited Saint Elizabeth, who forgot about herself and traveled from Nazareth to Judea (approximately 91 miles), Father Basil Cembalista took it upon himself to see the sick and paralyzed; thus, God granted healing.
We invite you to email marbenjoseph@protonmail.com to request a copy of Fr. Basil Cembalista's book, 'A Memorial of Gratitude,' a testament to his life and work, and his article for Svitlo, a profound piece of his spiritual journey. Your interest in these works is a testament to your connection to our community and your desire to deepen your understanding of our faith.
Today is November 30, the feast day of St. Andrew, one of Christ's apostles, and the start of the St. Andrew Christmas Novena. This is a special time of prayer and reflection, where we prepare our hearts for the birth of Jesus. The grace of having the opportunity to feel the presence of Jesus at His birthplace in Bethlehem is one of the promises of those who complete it by December 25.
We humbly ask you to consider joining us in tonight's prayers at the soccer field area. Together, let us pray fervently for world peace and a resolution to our cause. Your presence and prayers are a testament to your unwavering hope in our Lord and Lady, and your commitment to making a positive change in our world.
