Petition updateHelp save the animals from aquariumparks🕊️ Update: Kshamenk Has Died in Captivity

With deep sadness and anger, we share devastating news.

Kshamenk has passed away this morning — after more than 30 years in captivity.

TideBreakers has confirmed his death in a public statement. More details are expected to follow.

Kshamenk spent his life confined, isolated, and deprived of everything that makes life worth living for an orca: space, family, choice, the open ocean.

He survived decades of exploitation — only to die before freedom ever came.

This is not a “natural” death.

This is the direct result of long-term captivity, neglect, and systemic failure.

Kshamenk’s death is not an isolated tragedy.

It is a warning.

There are still dolphins, orcas, and other marine animals right now trapped in closed or failing aquarium parks around the world — invisible, voiceless, and at risk of the same fate.

If nothing changes, more animals will die in silence.

Kshamenk should have been relocated.

He should have been protected.

He should have lived his final years with dignity.

Instead, he became another symbol of what happens when profit is valued over life.

Please do not let Kshamenk’s death be ignored.

• Share this petition — visibility saves lives.

• Demand government accountability for animals still in captivity.

• Support organizations fighting for rescue, relocation, and protection.

• Refuse to look away.

We owe it to Kshamenk — and to every animal still alive —
