On the 13th September this year GMP burst through our family home with only myself and my 2 year old son living here , with 8 vans and numerous officers to sieze our two family pets over an alleged dog bite nearly three years ago in March 2020.
The complaint being a disgruntled ex wife of my previous partner alleging my dog had bit her on her arm. 
They used electric shields and four catch poles to each dog, the younger dog only being 8 months old urinating in fear on his back trapped beneath the poles and shields in our home. 
My little boy and myself were forced to witness this barbaric act where they arrested me, threw me in the back of a police van and interviewed my at Greater Manchester Police Rochdale station 130 miles away.
No charges were brought yet they still refused to release my dogs. 
It’s taken 7 weeks and a privately funded solicitor to get the young dog back after having to prove his age meaning he wasn’t even born at the time of the alleged offence.
He was returned back to us in a horrendous state.
5 weeks in I had another interview and again wasn’t charged yet they still refuse to release my old dog as they say they are still investigating it. 
How in these times are police able to act this way. 
Let me tell you this again. - three years ago, two interviews and 8.5 weeks and they still have our elderly family dog who has never been in any trouble before or after this alleged incident. 
They are NOT alleging he is a banned breed.
