We urgently call for the protection of the northern spotted owls, currently threatened by the proposed construction of the Bridal Veil Ski Resort. The northern spotted owl has been put near extinction due to most of its natural habitat being destroyed, as there are very few forests in BC where it can live. The loss of this environment would endanger the release of the hand-raised owls, deplete vital natural resources, and compromise the safety and survival of owls already facing extinction. What’s at stake is far greater than recreational space—it’s the preservation of biodiversity, ecological health, and the last safe refuge for vulnerable owl wildlife. We must act now to stop this irreversible damage. Together, we must take responsibility. The northern spotted owls need you.

It is essential to act fast on the Bridal Veil Ski Resort gondola build as the next stages of the gondola building plan threaten the most endangered bird species in Canada—the spotted owl. If the plan is executed, BC will be losing one of its 30 designated wildlife habitat protection areas, likely pushing the spotted owls to extinction. This pressing issue needs support as quickly as possible to ensure Elk Creek remains a safe home for BC’s precious spotted owls, as well as all other wildlife living in the area.
