Bishop McGann Mercy High School has been around for 62 years. This is not how our school should be going out. Our school deserves better than that. We deserve a second chance, the chance we never got to prove to our Diocese that we are not just some business but a home. Our dedicated teachers, faculty, and students deserve more. The East End of Long Island needs a Catholic high school and Mercy is the only one. We received news of our school closing through a robocall after we got home at 4 pm. Later there was a letter and YouTube video and a visit from Bishop Barres Friday morning for a short amount of time. We all want answers.
