The Historic Business That Could Have Been Saved: RIP Henry's Tacos

Jan 12, 2013 — The bottom line is that Henry's Tacos could have been 'saved' at its current historic location, but unfortunately greed won out over the loyal local community and long time supporters who have made Henry's Tacos a success over the past 51 years. The business will close Saturday at 9 PM or whenever the food runs out according to owner Janis Hood.

Thanks go out to Councilman Krekorian for his role in attempting to facilitate a negotiation between the landlord and potential buyer.

According to sources, the potential buyer and landlord had agreed on a new 20 year lease deal which would keep iconic Henry's Tacos at its original location, but Janis Hood backed out of yet another deal with another buyer, choosing not to accept the full asking price offer. Hood killed historic Henry's Tacos, claiming she was going to "sell" to a long time employee and move to another location. Stay tuned...
