This Veteran’s Day, we recognize the men and women who serve our nation in uniform. As we reflect on their service, we must not forget the brave Afghan and Iraqi translators who served alongside them overseas. Our combat translators are essential to our mission and keeping us safe, and many have saved American lives. Unfortunately, they are not considered veterans when they relocate to the U.S. with Special Immigrant Visas. Ehsan is as much a veteran as I am. Had he been lucky enough to have been born here, we'd be celebrating him as a seven tour combat veteran. Help us get to 40,000 signatures, support Honorary Veteran status for U.S. military translators Former Secretaries of Defense Rumsfeld, Gates, Panetta, Hagel, and Carter agree, as do veterans from the highest levels of the U.S. military command: combat translators should be granted Honorary Veteran status. And with your support, No One Left Behind is leading the way to honor our promise to our wartime allies. Add your name to say you support Honorary Veteran status for US military translators. Thank you for standing with our wartime allies Shona ba Shona - Shoulder to Shoulder
