East Chiltington Forge is under imminent threat of demolition. The developers planning application  threatens 150 years of ironworking history and will result in the loss of a key part of the villages character as well as the ongoing viability of an existing business on the site. Time is running out, objections are due by 27th January.

We understand houses are needed but question whether this should be at the expense of rural industry, history and the local community. 

Rural B2 sites like this are rare, especially ones with such history. The development and loss of B2 industrial sites is against current planning policy, local opposition is strong and we need your help to fight the application.
