Yogi, a beloved bear local to the San Gabriel valley communities of Sierra Madre, Arcadia, and Monrovia California, was shot with an arrow. Yogi was not killed, and is currently wandering the mountains and appears to be in severe pain with the arrow stuck in him. Yogi has even approached humans desperate for help. However, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife refuses to provide medical attention for Yogi, (**** SEE 9/16/22 UPDATE BELOW***) stating that "the department would respond if it appears the bear is a threat to people or pets." We want the department of Fish and Wildlife to HEAL Yogi, and NOT Euthanize him! Won't you please add your signature to this petition for Yogi so we can get the arrow removed and Yogi can go back to foraging pain free? Thank you!
