My change petition is to have a law to protect mothers and children and allow them to stay together.

The law needs to be changed for adult mothers with any of the above disabilities whose children are under a SpecialGuardianship Order.

I want social services and the guardianship department to provide help for families to stay together.

A disability, learning disability and mental health should not always be seen as a risk for future harm no one has a crystal ball. Mother and children should be protected. I want a change of law to happen so that mothers with disability, learning disability and mental health are no longer seen as unfit mothers but as capable to care for their children. Laws to be made making sure that no mother must be separated from their children because they are not considered a ‘normal’ mother.

Children can be raised by mothers with disability, learning disability and mental health. All types of families should be accepted no one family are the same.  A mother with disability, can be a good mother to her children. Please help with making this law to help keep mother’s together with their children.

It is important for all mothers to have somewhere that can provide help and lay the foundation for mother’s with disabilities to succeed not only in life, friendship, work and education but also that families have more opportunities to be in an healthy environment for both mother and children to thrive in their everyday lives.
