Help Reunite Areaza with Her Mother in Moriarty, NM
The Issue
I am writing this petition with a heart full of hope and a deep longing to bring my daughter, Areaza, back home where she belongs. Recently, the Child, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD) in Moriarty, NM took Areaza from me, claiming that I am an imminent danger to her and that returning her would not be in her best interest. This couldn't be farther from the truth, and I am pleading for your help to correct this injustice.
In this incredibly challenging time, it feels like my world has been torn apart. Areaza’s father has refused to acknowledge her existence, leaving me feeling isolated and helpless. On March 9 I received a very anticipated phone call from the hospital, saying Areaza was ready for discharge and I needed to come up and bring things for the overnight stay with her. I was very excited but a few hours later cyfd had got ahold of the hospital and put an emergency hold by law enforcement on my child, with no paper work or supporting documentation to show. By the 12 the emergency hold would be over and Areaza would be released back to my custody, said a caseworker, but this did not happen, the hospital refused to let me take my child home just on this case workers and hospitals social worker decision alone, two individuals without proper authority to override prenatal rights laws. So for another 5 days my child in an isolated room for no medical issue, she was not sick, and all the nurses said she was the best baby in the NICU with no health issues or complications other then being born a bit to early, sure to myself having cancer and only half a cervics, and ab very active two year old. I had consumed substances in the early mid stages of pregnancy when I wasn't aware of even being pregnant, as soon as I found out I sought out a retired holistic care provider that helped me safely detox so when in fact she was due to arrive it would be safe for both baby and myself. Bring the health issues I have she came sooner then expected and traces of the substances where only found in the placenta, I was never drug tested due to my honesty with the doctors. Well the social worker from the hospital had come into my room where I was recovering from the life threatening labor and lose of blood demanding me to sign papers that would allow adoption of my child, I got mad and told her very firmly to get the hell out of my room, I didn't see her for another month or more, not knowing they reported me saying I threatened the life of one of their nurses, this never happened. My child was kept from me from the 1th til the 21st until petition was filed by them the very last min of the work day after already having meetings and agreements the child would come home with me and my father and their "upper management" had agreed. Well this did not happen either, they put another hold on my child for the same exact situation that I thought had already been taken care of being the meetings and the text messages where cyfd clearly stated I could go for my baby. Let's not forget none of this has even been seen by a judge and they had not givin me any documentation or notice. Mean while aside from all the chaos with cyfd the 3rd night, January 18th 2025 someone had gone to my home and set it on fire, leaving no where for me and my children to go. And still it goes unknown whom took our home in flames for whatever reason.. I did find a temporary place that needs fixed and was being over ran by homeless people or so the condition of the trailer suggested, even with the amount of work needed I excepted the offer, it was the right price for such short notice. The home still needs some work but it's ready to have children safely live in it. Despite the overwhelming circumstances, I am a loving and caring mother, dedicated to my daughter's happiness and well-being. Contrary to the claims made by CYFD, I am not a threat, and I assure you that I have a supportive community ready to stand by me and help in any way necessary.
The truth is, CYFD has misrepresented and twisted facts to sway the judgment against me, effectively taking my precious daughter away from me. It's crucial to inform the judge that the picture painted by CYFD is not the reality of our situation. I am not alone; I have family, friends, and community members who care deeply about Areaza and our family’s future. I have every intention to provide a loving, nurturing, and safe environment for her.
I ask you, compassionate members of the Moriarty community, as well as those from afar who believe in justice and family reunification, to sign this petition. Your support can help demonstrate to the court that I am a caring mother committed to Areaza’s future. With your signatures, we can urge the judge to reconsider the decision, take a closer look at our true circumstances, and ultimately bring Areaza back where she belongs—with her mother.
Please sign this petition to help reunite Areaza with her loving family in Moriarty, NM. Together, we can fight for justice and love.
