Today I looked into the Amazon Rainforest fires as well. The situation is as ugly there as it is with the Siberian Taiga forest fires.

For over 3 weeks the Amazon has been on fire.

But what is saddening is the of politics brought into this ecological catastrophe.

The Brazilian president is accusing NGOs for causing the fires in the Rainforest. Because his administration had withdrawn their funds.

He had also fired the director of the National Institute of Spacial Surveys as that institution's data had shown an deforestation increase of the Amazon Rainforest. He claimed that institution's data was false.

The noose is getting tighter around our neck, but instead of looking at hour our own actions (political, administrative, economical etc.) can be changed in order to preserve these important ecosystems, we get political and defensive.

But let us be better at this. Let's keep the constructive action.
I am preparing my open letter to the European Commission as well.

And as soon as I have any information related to helping contain the Siberian forest fires, I will post it.
